This spectacular item was once worn by the warrior of Asmat people of Papua, also worn in various ceremonies, festivals and celebrations. The base is made of braided cotton fiber strings. Moving to the center part of the Chest Armour, two pieces of Coral Shells are added with another piece of Conus Disc Shell Currency is placed in between. Down at the bottom, a Currency Coral Shell is attached, almost like a pendant. The toggle clasp is made of tiny piece of shell.
